Provenance: Collected by Lionel Drewyer Bax (1898-1984). Bax was a Colorado rancher, auto supply manufacturer, and collector of American Indian artifacts, art, and photographs. He documented Southwestern and Plains Indian life and culture. Soon after he pasted away, his collection was donated to the Denver Art Museum.
